Our Process
Insulation Dallas takes the time to do every job right but you’ll be amazed at how quickly we can have your project completed. We start every job by preparing the space to be insulated. We cover, cap, or fill any space that needs to be covered to hold insulation such as spaces for plumbing, electrical or other fixtures. We then run a hose from our unit on our truck to the space needing to be insulated- usually an attic. This requires us to run a hose usually through a garage entrance but sometimes through the home. In the case where we are filling a cavity such as in a wall, a small (hockey puck sized) hole is discreetly drilled where our hose can fit in and blow the insulation into. The hole is then filled to be unnoticeable. In an attic we blow-in the insulation on top of any existing insulation to the desired height to provide the optimum value of insulation. Our installers are fully trained and certified and provide the best service in all of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Fiber glass insulation has been a staple of the construction industry for decades, and for good reason. Blown-in fiberglass offers two major benefits to other insulation options: it is affordable and it is effective. Because an insulation project can be completed quickly with blown-in insulation we can pass this time and cost savings on to our customers, providing a more affordable service.
Here are a few reasons that blown-in insulation is your ticket to comfortable conditions and reduced energy bills:
1. Blown-in insulation gets in all the nooks and crannies. When a new home is constructed, batt insulation is cut to fit in-between wall studs and is covered during the dry wall process. A home that is already constructed but is in need of new insulation, batt insulation is no longer feasible. Blown-in fiberglass offers a quick and effective solution. It can used to blanket the attic and fill in between studs settling in hard to see or reach places that air might travel through.
2. Our blown-in fiberglass insulation is fire resistant. Your safety and the safety of your loved ones is obviously of the utmost importance. Made from spun fibers from glass and combined with plastic polymers, our fire-resistant fiberglass is blown throughout places that can cause air drafts that would otherwise expedite the travel of fire.
3. We offer a lifetime guarantee. This covers any defects in materials or workmanship and has no time limit in filing a claim.
Reasons to Insulate:
1. Money Saving - The number one reason most customers are interested in improving the insulation of their home is that it saves the homeowner money in the long-run. Think of insulating your home as an investment that will make you money over the life of your home. Not only does it increase the value of your home but good insulation in your house helps keep the warm or cool air inside instead of leaking to the outside of your property. This decreases the amount your HVAC system needs to be running, in turn decreasing your energy use and utility bill.
2. Improve Comfort – Another benefit to good insulation is keeping the outside atmospheric temperature from penetrating your home’s insulated barrier. So cold drafts and high temperatures stay outside where they belong. Again, allowing your heating and cooling system to do its job and keep your home’s temperature at a level you enjoy.
3. Noise Reduction - One benefit that is often overlooked is insulation’s ability to reduce the noise that could penetrate your walls. This keeps outside noise such as traffic, barking dogs, or any other unwanted exterior noise from bothering you while you are in the comfort of your own home. Also, it keeps sound from the inside of your home from leaking out to the outside of your property.
4. Air Quality Enhancement – High air quality should be important to anyone that cares about their health. High quality insulation reduces the likelihood of condensation forming in your home- which prevents the possibility of mold formation. Our insulation is also waterproof, which also improves the quality of air you and your family is breathing in every day.
5.
Roof Damage Prevention – This one often surprises homeowners. When a home has poor attic insulation, heat travels up through your home in the winter, through the attic and accumulated underneath your roof. If there is snow on your roof at this point, the lower layers of snow will melt. But the higher layers of snow remain frozen, trapping water underneath that seeps into your home’s roof.
FAQ’s
1. What does R-value mean? In short, R-value is referring to a material’s thermal resistance. How well does a material resist conductive heat flow? The higher the R-value, the better a material is at protecting from the transfer of heat or cold. R-value depends on the type of material used, thickness and density.
2. How much insulation should my attic have? Generally, when you can see the top of your joists of the attic floor, it’s time to add insulation as you can be losing a lot of thermal energy into your attic. Most homes built before the 1980’s have an inadequate amount of insulation. We stick to the U.S. Department recommendations in regard to R-value and this will determine all of our recommendations to the homeowner.
3. Where can I get more information regarding insulation? Energy Star and U.S. Department of Energy and North American Insulation Manufacturers Association.
4. Why hire a professional insulation contractor rather than a general contractor? Insulation professionals focus their time specifically on insulation and energy services and are attentive to the conservation of the homeowner’s comfort and energy consumption. Professional insulation installers are up to date on local code and regulations and can offer proper guidance in regard to the amount and type of insulation your project requires.
5. How much money can I save by adding insulation to the walls, floors and ceilings of my home? The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) states that on average a home owner spends $1500 on utility bills with nearly half going toward heating and cooling costs. The DOE suggests that simply improving your homes thermal insulation can decrease your energy bills up to 50%. Compared to the cost of adding insulation, improving your home’s insulation can greatly decrease the amount of money a homeowner is spending on energy bills.
